Join CARE: A New Animal Protection Group in Mendocino County

CARE (Compassion for Animals, Respect for the Earth) is a new umbrella organization in Mendocino County that provides networking and support for those interested in working for humane treatment of animals and a compassionate, sustainable lifestyle. CARE also provides support for those wishing to move toward a plant-based diet, and welcomes everyone interested in promoting health and harmony in Mendocino County and beyond.

The organization began meeting in December 2007, and already has several projects in various stages of development. You can get involved by attending CARE's next meeting to share your ideas for animal-friendly projects and initiatives, and to hear about what others are working on.
