Chaz

CHARLES HAWLEY:
(»ONLINE RESUMÉ) An artist, designer and self-taught musician, has been involved in graphics, animation, photography and photo restoration for over 20 years. He taught himself Photoshop and (Deneba) Canvas shortly after they first came out in the early 90's. Before computer graphics, his expertise included freehand graphics, painting, photography and darkroom techniques, musical instrument repair and piano restoration.

In 1998, after taking several film classes at De Anza College, he formed a video production company CH VIDEO which later became MOSTLY VISIBLE PRODUCTIONS. His work included promotional films, a few shorts, documentaries and a 30 min. television pilot. A statewide economic decline made film and video work scarce, so he chose to expand into web graphics.

Video LogoAfter learning Dreamweaver in 2000 he then learned Flash, adding animation to his website designs. Further instruction included classes in Adobe Illustrator and Autodesk Maya. Additional classes in advanced Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash have been added in the last 3 years.

Samples of his graphic work can be seen on all the websites listed on the main index page. Chaz is also a Multimedia teaching assistant, tutor, and lab technician at Cañada College in Redwood City, CA. Prior to that, he was assisting at De Anza College in Cupertino, CA.
